SH 1.jpgWelcome to the 2020-2021 school year here at Sam Houston Elementary! Our mission as the home of the Marshall ISD STEM program is to provide leadership, support and opportunities for all of our STEM students.

Sam Houston Elementary has consistently achieved the highest possible accountability rating from the Texas Education Agency since opening in 2017 as a result of MISD's Legacy 2017 building program. The STEM program was previously housed at the old South Marshall Elementary but moved to the renovated Sam Houston campus in the fall of 2017. During the 2018-2019 school year, Sam Houston achieved a second straight "A" grade in the state's accountability system, with five academic distinctions. The STEM program was repeatedly recognized for its academic excellence and achievement while housed at South Marshall, with designation as a High Performing, High Progress school in back-to-back years in 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 prior to the program moving to the newly renovated location at Sam Houston.

Our school hours are 7:50 a.m. to 3:21 p.m., Monday through Friday, during the school year. On designated Early Release days, students are dismissed at 12:20 p.m.

We welcome visitors to our campus and should you ever need anything or have questions regarding our campus, please do not hesitate to contact us! Thank you for your support of our students here at Sam Houston!
